Richard Gere Puts His Hamptons Mansion on the Market
The actor just listed his mega-mansion for $65 million. Here's what you get for that sticker price.
If you'd like to become the next owner of Richard Gere's sprawling Hamptons, N.Y., home, get ready to shell out $65 million. Strongheart Manor, the actor's 12,000-square-foot mansion in North Haven, just hit the market. Set on six aces with more than 300 feet of waterfront, the estate includes 12 bedrooms, 12 baths, two guesthouses and an outdoor fireplace pavilion. It was built in 1902, so there's a bit of history.
Judging from the photos, the home seems to offer numerous vantage points of the water, and the grounds are quite tranquil and lush. Rooms are spacious and offer plenty of windows to take in the waterfront views. The price sounds a wee bit ambitious, but then again the home does come with substantial bragging rights for starstruck owners.
