Pamela Anderson Lists Malibu Home With Signature Touches

The former Baywatch babe will no longer be dancing with the stars on her teak floors in Malibu – if she can find a buyer willing to pay a premium for all the extra luxuries she designed and added.

Just about anywhere else in the world, a three-bedroom, three-bathroom, 2,752-square-foot house wouldn't seem so lavish. But because this is Malibu, and because this particular home was owned and re-designed by Pamela Anderson, the former Baywatch star is hoping to get high seven figures. She's asking $7.75 million, to be exact.

It would mean a tidy profit for Anderson, who is reported to owe almost $400,000 in taxes to the state of California. According to public records, she bought the house that sits across the street from the beach in Malibu Colony, in 2000, for just over $1.8 million.

She's done a tremendous amount of refurbishing to the house, built in 1959, however. That includes putting her signature, free-standing bathtub in the master bedroom. That's also a unique feature in at least one other home Anderson has inhabited, the famed Malibu Chateau, where Pink shot her "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" video.

The Malibu Colony house also has a vanity area with two sinks in the master bedroom. And in another twist, there's a Finnish sauna off the master bath, complete with a flat screen TV. But those are just a few of the unique features of this home.

The house is digitally controlled, from the lighting to the temperature to the music to the security system, by wall-mounted iPads. Another high-tech feature is the top-of-the-line home theater system and surround sound in most rooms. The chef's kitchen is also cutting edge, with all Miele appliances. Teak walls, floors and staircases have been added, both inside and out.

The property is completely walled and gated for much-needed privacy. Inside those walls you'll find a saltwater pool with a swim up bar, and a tipi – yes, a native American tent – on the lawn. There are also mature fig and avocado trees in the yard.

Anderson has been trying to find new residents for the home for some time. In 2011 it was listed on Vacation Rentals By Owner (VRBO) for $20,000 per week or $75,000 per month, but that was during the summer months, when Malibu rental prices sky rocket. It's currently available for lease at $27,500 per month, and of course, lease-to-own options are available.

Anderson says she's spending so much time back in her native Canada these days that she doesn't really need such lush digs on the California coast. Still, it's hard to imagine the Baywatch babe without the beach.
