Inside the Home of Julio Jones
The Atlanta Falcons' wide receiver signed a multi-million dollar four-year contract in 2011, but we’re hoping his recent home purchase means he’ll stay longer.
Most football fans know the name Julio Jones. They’ve either shouted it, “Julio!!” as he crossed the goal line or cursed it. There are certainly at least 33 million people familiar with the Atlanta Falcons wide receiver. That’s the number of people who played Fantasy Football last year and when he's healthy, Jones is maybe the NFL’s premier deep threat, according to ESPN. The only thing that makes him unattractive in a Fantasy scenario are his own offensive teammates, like Roddy White, Tony Gonzalez and new acquisition Steven Jackson. (Please don’t make us explain.)

Just know this, Jones is good, really good and we want to keep him in Atlanta. That’s why we’re thrilled to take you on a little tour of his digs in Buford, Ga. Little, however, in no way applies to the house. The 8,800-square-foot Mediterranean has seven bedrooms, nine baths and sits on close to two acres. The estate is about 40 miles from the Georgia Dome where the Falcons play but only 10 miles from the Dirty Birds’ practice facility in Flowery Branch.
Past the gated entrance and down a long cobblestone driveway, the street lamps and elegant fountain no doubt, charm visitors. (Or at least the players’ wives and girlfriends notice them.) Teammates will go all in for the four-car garage, the heated pool and Jacuzzi tub, the tennis courts and the state-of-the-art theater. We also think they’ll like Julio’s guest house which has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a living room and a full outdoor kitchen.
The entrance is quite breathtaking with arched double doors and tile flooring that leads to the foyer with gleaming hardwoods, elegant chandelier and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the backyard.
We love the gourmet kitchen with its stone counter tops, distressed cabinetry, stainless steel Viking appliances, a breakfast bar and island, double ovens, open view to family room and the gorgeous tile flooring. There’s also a large breakfast area with access to the rear deck and a rear staircase leading to the second level.
The office/library is especially handsome and a great place for Julio’s many leather-bound books. We're not sure if it smells of rich mahogany. And, naturally, the master bedroom is opulent and large. Please get plenty of good rest, Julio. Atlanta is counting on you.
