Alex Trebek's Former Home Is Up For Grabs
The Jeopardy! host's one-time bachelor pad is a retro '80s treat.
Someone loves the '80s! The former home of beloved game show host Alex Trebek, who has been giving Jeopardy! contestants a run for their money since 1984, is a true real estate time capsule -- and it's back on the market for $3.9 million. The 5,554-square-foot property is located on Mulholland Drive in the posh Hollywood Hills section of Los Angeles and has seemingly had few updates since Trebek, who built the home shortly after landing his notable game show gig, resided there. The three-story modern home showcases a stunning array of '80s contemporary deco interior design, including a black marble tile spa tub, several chrome accents, a spiral staircase, vaulted ceilings and white wall-to-wall carpeting. Trebek sold the property in 1996 but many of the eye-popping original features from the decadent decade remain. With four bedrooms, multiple fireplaces and private balconies as well as a renovated chef's kitchen, however, the home is still in fine shape and worthy of taking on an upgrade for anyone who doesn't feel like living on the set of an A-ha video.
