#10: The Brady Bunch HouseThis split-level rancher was made famous by America's favorite blended family, the Bradys. Initially panned by critics, The Brady Bunch eventually became a cultural phenomenon in reruns, and the Brady house, which appeared in nearly all of the show's 115 episodes, became part of that phenomenon. (However, all of the shots of the home were filmed before the series debut and were reused throughout its run.) When searching for just the right Brady abode in 1969, series creator Sherwood Schwartz was drawn to this Los Angeles home because he thought it looked like somewhere a middle-class architect such as Mike Brady would live. However, one problem cropped up: the real house had only one story, while the interior set being built in Paramount Studios was a roomy two-story home. The solution? A false window was attached to the real home to create the appearance of a second story.
