BostonBoston offers a culturally vibrant waterfront area that's convenient to major highways, Logan International Airport and the financial district. Karen Peters, broker/vice president of Premier Properties of Boston, has lived in the area since 1996, and says she loves the proximity to the water.
"Being able to walk along the harbor at any time -- like in the morning before the crowds come out -- is great," she says.
The area draws a wide range of residents, from families who enjoy the parks and playgrounds available, to professionals who love the proximity to the financial district, to empty-nesters who like being away from the suburbs.
The housing available consists almost entirely of condominiums, which Peters says can vary widely in price. She recently sold a 1,900 square foot condominium for $5.2 million, but she says it's possible to find units for $500,000.
