Haunted House in a Ghost Town
Cuchillo, N.M.

As if living in a haunted property isn't scary enough, this adobe home is in the center of a ghost town with a flurry of paranormal activity -- Cuchillo, N.M. Josh Bond, who owns the home and several other structures in Cuchillo, decided to sell the home after paranormal investigators confirmed its haunted status in May 2009.

Bond says it didn't take him long to realize the property was haunted. Luckily, the spirits appear to be benevolent -- he's seen an old lady cooking in the kitchen, and heard firewood being piled into the pot-bellied stove. The creepiest thing that's happened in the house? He heard someone whispering in his ear.

Can't make it to New Mexico for a showing? If you act before October 31, you can pick up the home on eBay. Bond is selling the home to raise money to put a new roof on the Old Cuchillo Bar and Store, which he also owns. It comes with several items believed to be related to the haunting: an old wood-burning stove, a clawfoot tub, a wedding dress and a shrine found in the closet.
