Slide Show: A Day at a Foreclosure Tour

By Shannon Petrie, FrontDoor.com | Published: 2/27/2009

As foreclosure rates reach record highs around the country, real estate agents are getting creative in their attempts to move their increasingly large inventories of foreclosed homes. The "foreclosure tour" -- a concept that first took off in California and other states that were hit hardest by foreclosures -- allows a group of potential homebuyers to visit several foreclosed properties in one outing. Foreclosure tours have even gained popularity in smaller markets, such as Knoxville, Tenn. Coldwell Banker Wallace & Wallace Realtors Marian Epps and Brooke Stanfill hold tours in Knoxville each month to show house hunters the city's foreclosure opportunities.
