New York, N.Y.

In 2009, controversial radio host Rush Limbaugh vowed to sell his New York home after Governor David Paterson proposed a "millionaire's tax" on residents making more than $500,000. Nearly a year later, Limbaugh is making good on his promise, putting his pre-war Fifth Avenue penthouse on the market for $13,950,000. He originally purchased the home in 1994.

The 4-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom residence features a wood-paneled library, a large media room and four terraces, two of which face Central Park. If you tire of the city views, you can step inside to find new scenery: Many of the home's walls and ceilings have been adorned with hand-painted murals, and the moldings are hand-painted gold leaf.
